We are so excited to be sharing with you the behind the scenes for our project, The Timeless on Talon. This project was an entire main level transformation where we infused timeless luxury into every square inch!
This home had gorgeous bones to work with, but needed some elevating to take it to that next level. The property is located in a gorgeous neighborhood with stunning views. Medium tone oak trim was consistent throughout most of the main level, except for the dining room and master suite. Our client's wanted to keep this wood tone and compliment it with new flooring and new paint throughout.
The primary bathroom was due for a total upgrade, and our client's were on board for a gut job of the space (resulting in an absolutely gorgeous transformation).
The entryway is a formal entryway just screaming for something unique to bring it to life and set the ambiance for the entire home. We love a traditional formal entryway so were up for the challenge with this one.
The family room fireplace was dated due for a facelift as well.
Our clients were ready to invest in new furnishings to complete their spaces and feel cozy and put together.
The entryway called for a "WOW" moment to reflect what you are in for in the rest of this stunning home. We designed a ceramic tile inlay to be installed in the center of the hardwood floors to be laid in a herringbone pattern. The tile we selected is a "marble look" ceramic, so you are getting that classic marble look without the maintenance (and cost). We brought in subtle blue tones in the entryway in the stair runner as well as the front door. We added sconces alongside the gorgeous wood office French doors to add ambiance to the entryway. A large mirror is one of our favorite ways to bring an entryway to life. It reflects off the natural lighting making it bounce around the room and of course is extremely functional as visitors come and go!
We continued the blue color palette in the adjacent formal dining room, but brought in deeper moody tones to set the mood. This dining room is large enough to accommodate an 8 person dining table. We selected this gorgeous marble top, distressed wood table from one of our favorite trade only vendors. The custom window treatments elevate this space to the next level (as they always do)! We gave the walls and trim a fresh coat of paint using 2 of our absolute favorite colors, Chantilly Lacy and Classic Gray both by Benjamin Moore.
The living room has a funky layout that our client's were struggling with. It is large enough to accommodate lots of seating, but required some creative space planning. We brought in a green and blue color palette (our client's favs) to this space as well, to keep it clean classic and fresh for years and years to come. We refaced the fireplace with the same tile as the entryway, but in a larger scale. We had a flush hearth scribed into the hardwood floor - a staple of ours in client projects. Fresh paint on the walls and custom drapery panels and roman shades really finished this space off. We selected an oversized sofa with chaise rather than a sectional as to not obstruct from the gorgeous views out the window as well as to fit within the scale of the room.
Our client's let us have fun in their primary suite. They were fully on board with the romantic lux vibe we presented. The Kelly Ventura watercolor wallpaper was the inspiration for the entire space and was our starting off point. Our clients said their kids love to come in their room and they all watch TV together, so we added a settee at the end of the bed (not shown in this plan). We also used the odd angled wall in the room for our client's very own vanity space, which she LOVES. Every square inch used functionally in here.
We carried the lux romantic style into the primary suite, where we gutted the entire space and WOW did it transform. All new tile throughout, new plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, vanity countertop and painted the existing vanity. We used a slightly reflective wallpaper and gave it some juxtaposition with the overlaying large abstract art hung above the tub as a focal point for when you enter the space. Removing the existing tub and replacing it with a freestanding tub made the space feel much larger and airy. We had hanging pendants installed on the ceiling to bring height to the vanity and to compliment the vanity tower in the center.
